Our sixth grade science curriculum allows students to explore the world around them through research, group activities, and hands-on experiments and explorations. This year the sixth grade students will engage in studying environmental science, basic chemistry, geology, and earth science throughout the school year.
In April, our young scientists will learn about the different states of matter, including how states of matter can change. In addition, the students will have an opportunity to see different states of matter changing when they make ice cream in the science lab. We will continue to work on building academic vocabulary during this chemistry unit.
