Students watched and experienced the influence of human interactions, food shortages, natural death, and pack interactions on the population of their changing wolf packs. As we explore the importance of wolves as a keystone species in the ecosystem and the effects of a variety of limiting factors on animal populations, this activity helped model and bring these concepts to life to students.
